What started as an informal group online in 2020 as a place for safe conversations, connection, and community has grown into the Cape Breton Feminist Society, a registered non-profit society in Nova Scotia.
We’re a community-led, volunteer-run organization working to create a safer, more equitable, and inclusive Cape Breton for everyone!
Over the years, our group has come together to organize Take Back the Night marches, Women’s Marches, community conversations, education, and advocacy, and we’re excited to keep building on that work!
EVERY contribution, big or small, helps our volunteers keep creating spaces for connection, learning, action, and change
“Change is made of small acts, done by many people.”

I am sharing this because, as women, we deserve to know the realities that we are navigating. These truths are difficult, but awareness matters. Knowing what exists in the world is part of protecting ourselves, supporting one another, and refusing silence around violence.
